NEW STRONGER AXLE
Axle now includes a hub made out of solid billet steel: All one piece.
A major imporvement on orignal old style axles in which this hub were brittle cast iron.
Wheel flange is now 3/8″ thick, which is a major imporvement on original old style axles which were only 1/4″ thick.
These hubs are MUCH stronger than the old style cast iron hubs.
Yes: Wheel flange and reinforcement tapered hub are all machined as one piece out of SOLID steel.
Also included automotive grade wheel studs.
This solid hub detail is shown in the last photo.
These axles are use snap rings to hold sprocket in correct location, no hard to install lock collars with
set screws which rust stuck that are almost impossible to remove next time.
THESE AXLES ARE MUCH IMPOVED FROM ORIGINAL STYLE
This is a replacement upgrade solid axle with a 3/8″ 5 bolt wheel flange.
Fits only MAX II machines with spline axles
NOTE: This is the current style of splined axle, the axle is “machined down” to take a smaller
bearing on the inside.
Note: Sprockets are held in place with snap rings not set screws in the sprockets
The axle is also drilled on the end, you you can provide a bolt and washer to help stop axle from
coming out of the inner bearing.
